PLACE:   Biratchowk is such a peaceful, beautiful and small town, is linked by the east- west Mahendra Highway. It is located in Morang district, on the southern Terai belt of Nepal, 10 km. far from the eastern
                     side of Itahari municipality and about 35 km. far from the northern side of Biratnagar(administrative center of morang district)
                     . Biratchowk is Basically  known for  agriculture. Mostly, Rice is taken up around the place as cultivation.  It
                     has some well known industries in it. It also serves as a trading centre for the farming  communities.
                     HATBAZAR: Hatbazar (Open Market ) takes place every sunday in Biratchowk. Make sure to visit the
                     Haat when you get to this place. TEMPLES: Biratchowk
                     has some temples around its vicinity; SHIVA temple in Harinchamod, KALI temple in Biratchowk, BHULKE temple
                     in Salakpur, KRISHANA temple in Budhabare.  KIRATESHORE temple in Khorsane. Local people visit temples to worship
                     on daily basis. CLIMATE:  The weather in Biratchowk is mostly hot.
                     Temperature ranges from 8 to 39 degrees Celsius. PICNIC SPOT:  BAAGH-JHODA:  A nice place to picnic, rest and relaxation. People go hanging arround with their friends.
                     Many people come from different places for picnic. There is  a small park and garden with pond. There is boating
                     available  on the pond.  INDUSTRIES: There are some medium industries are setting up in Biratchowk, like the P.L.O. LUBRICANT,
                     EAST NEPAL ENGINEERING WORKSHOP etc.

                  RELIGIONS AND CULTURES:  Biratchok has vast cultural diversity
                     in it. There are Hindus, Muslim, Buddist, Christian and more people with many casts, And they celebrate many different
                     festivals. Some of the popular festivals are listed below.   Ashar Pandhra: A festival celebrated among Nepalese Farmers. It is celebrated
                     around June, when the rice plantation starts. Farmers celebrate this festival as a joy of start of rainy season, as most of
                     agriculture depends on natural Rainfall. People eat food such as Yogurt and Beaten Rice(Dahi Chyura) with Banana and mangoes
                     on the day. Krishna Janma Asthami:
                     Krishna Janma Asthami or the birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated actively. Also there is a culture of Jagram(staying awake
                     all night) on Janma Asthami night. People participate on the traditional Rath Yatra that day.    Dashain: Dashain is main festival
                     in nepal,celebrated  by the Nepalese communities. The event lasts for 15 days.  Tihar and Dipawali: Tihar
                     is celebrated by Nepalese community which lasts 5 days. Among these days, the third day is called Laxmi Puja, which
                     coincides with Dipawali. Dipawali is a Hindu festival but these days it has become everyones festival. People from different
                     cultural aspect and value observe Dipawali together. People light up their house with little lamps called Diyo, generally
                     fuelled with mustard oil or Ghee(clarified butter).  Other popular festivals include Chhat, Saraswati puja, maghe sankranti etc.
